I thought the idea of secret Santa was that you dont know who the sender is? never heard of it being the reciever you dont know.

How does this version of it work then?

do you mean you know who but dont know them personally???

how about a little game or something??

Have a look on play.com, they have a wide range of day to day block calenders for around a fiver,
But you should know who you are buying for.
We have had an ornamental mole carrying a wheelbarrow that has done the rounds of secret Santa for around four or five years. Whoever recievs it passesd it on again the next year and no-one knows who will get it the next year. It is actually really funny although it sounds lame.

Another good on is 5 lottery tickets.
oh and this version works by eveyone buying a present that goes in to a bag and you select your gift lucky dip style!

i was in tesco yesterday and they have loads of stuff under 5

ranging from silver tax disc holders to bath sets.

just and idea!

BHS have some good stuff for under a fiver in their Christmas shop.
In my office this year we have the same cost limit but it must to be something that the receiver has to wear at the Xmas lunch party. On previous years it just had to be something comical. Joke shops have lots of funny items for around a fiver.
A jumbo sized jar of pickled onions !!
Most underwear stalls on markets have a giant pair of knickers with merry christmas on them.
