Shops Closed But Pubs Stay Open.

I've just read that although a lot of shops/supermarkets are closing, the pubs can stay open on the day of the funeral.

Not only do they not have to put up with them, Emmie, it’s actually against the licencing laws to serve somebody who is drunk (a law probably more broken than any other to do with alcohol licensing).
