Is it getting any better, or are deliveries still slow & a bit erratic erratic ?
Are there more strikes ahead ?

I ask because I've a pile of large stamped & addressed envelopes destined for the UK & I don't know if it is wise to post them into the system yet. Thank you.

All seems to be back to normal, and haven't seen any strikes planned (yet).

The local rag in Sheffield was reporting that everything was back to normal at the big sorting centre there nearly a week ago:

A little before that, I'd posted a birthday gift to a friend using Royal Mail, which was delivered promptly.

I think the strike action was more about agency workers coming in on minimum wage and taking their jobs?

Our post used to get to us by around 7.30 am but these days we are lucky to get it before 2pm and most of the time it arrives around 3.30 to 4pm. On Saturday we had some Christmas Cards that were posted on the 20th December. Ours has definitely got worse over the past couple of years.

My actual postman is brilliant, he's especially good at dealing with parcels if we are out. On the other hand I posted all my Xmas cards 1st class on 13 December and 2 did not arrive until 28th.

The service has been rock bottom these last few weeks, but I think we're back to normal now.

We had the strikes, then a backlog, then days with lots of mail followed by none at all, thenparcals only, but I have a feeling this is a good week.

I would get your mail out now before it all changes again!

Saying potential problems with items to and from Europe, I think it's only parcels but might be worth checking with your post provider.
