The vet advised me to keep Jess warm as that will help her gammy leg, so I have designed a jumper for her and have started knitting it.
We will have to wait and see if it is as successful as Bollinger's jumper!
Sounds like a lovely thing to do for her, Redhelen. I trust that Colin won't be jealous? I hope Jess shows some improvement asap. Oh for warmer weather x
Due to her skinny build and thin fur coat, Sally my dear lurcher required a sighthound coat in rubbish weather.
There's a big market for not just waterproofs, but also fleeces, jumpers, and neck warmers.
So if you have spare time....
The warmer weather would help so much too - she didn't want to go with the dog walker yesterday but himself is up and about today and has just taken them out for a small wander around the park.
Colin won't care he hates wearing anything except baseball caps.
The husband is not keen on dogs wearing clothes but even he could see it made sense to make a jumper for Jess and not put the heating on all day!
If I carry one like this all the cats and dogs will be wearing matching jumpers!
lol canary she is a lab who swims off the coast of Islay in December so a little rain won't hurt her but she was very out of sorts.
She now also has a giant water bottle that sits between her two bed pads and keeps her warm that way.
You are right - and I may do that or even go through my own jumpers and see if any fit her.
But the knitting is quite calming and stress relieving and I could do with some of that just now.
