Just on the phone to my son and don’t how the conversation turned to what him and his sister wore that was trendy, he remember them having Harrington jackets, black blouson with a red tartan lining, and Pod shoes :0)
My own memories were the can can slips and circular skirts worn with a gypsy blouse, loved that set up ;0)

I wore a blue taffeta dress with a wide circular skirt plus slip when I was a junior bridesmaid for my sister. I was 11 and felt very grown-up.

I think mine were grey with a large red check. Middle school Disco 1975.
I was a size 10 back then, cropped very blonde hair went down the escalator at Camden town and every year turned Male and Female..... A very sweet memory for a young woman who grew up being told she was ugly.
Every head!!!
27" bottom flares, a subject of vast hilarity to my two older daughters when they saw pics of me in the mid-70's.

However, they both enthusiastically embraced the style when it came around again in the 'baggy' '80's.
As I recall Harringtons were worn with Levi stay press strides, red socks and loafers.

The real punk era was in the late 70's. I was a punk DJ. Banned from many places :-)
Ooh I forgot, had a spell with the New Romantics, had some lovely bits for that. Chucked out of a bar for dancing on the table to Kings of the Wild frontier in full Adam ant styling...
I loved that coat Bobbi. I had a pair of extended point winklepickers the points of which had to be stuffed with cotton wool to keep them flat. Fine until I kicked the bottom of a filing cabinet (in lieu of my truly annoying boss) and bent the toe beyond repair:-((
The micro mini.

That is all.
