Do you like having a trail round charity shops? Do you buy anything?
I mainly buy books but sometimes I might see a designer handbag.

On yes, I miss being able to walk round carboots, just visit a couple of plant stalls nowadays. Two brilliant car boot buys last year... A large box of artists quality watercolour half pans, most not even opened,£15, and a large carrier bag with pretty much every colour of DMC thread, a load of anchor , and bundles of more specialist ones. Best guess at value in...

Only the online charity shops
Yes.
Yes.
Books.
Not since they realised they were selling vinyl records for nothing.
Not really
My two sisters love charity shops but I'll look at jewellery and watches.
I go around them and sometimes see the perfect article to buy. Some years ago i saw a nice jacket, it was not too worn and it was my perfect size, it lasted me ten years.
I've been going in them regularly recently. I've been on the hunt for extra small decorative plant pots...or anything to cover plastic pots. Also frames of various sizes. I got some for the gallery wall in my bedroom that I did recently...next it's the 2 spare bedrooms.
And books of course.

I volunteer in a charity shop, we once sold an LP for £600.
A friend of ours volunteers in a charity shop and she was accused of helping herself to the pick of the donations because she was regularly seen loading goods in to her car.
In reality she works very hard at home researching and photographing the items and listing on the charity's eBay site.

I think the days of picking up a gold Rolex for 10p or long gone, which is great for the charities, of course.
Barry,
I am at home, sitting with hundreds of donated postcards. I sort them into bundles and sell them online. There is no space in the shop and I am far too easily distracted.
Keeps you out of mischief, too, wolf :)
that is actually true. I would get bored otherwise.

Wolf63 - A relative sent me a huge bundle of foreign postcards going back years - I cannot quite remember how much I made for them on e-Bay but it was quite substantial.

common that owners of charity shops to have second hand clothes shops for the best donations. It happens
Vintage apparel, shurely.
yes....oh doug - - - you're so Modern !
Modern but pre-loved and cherished.
Love looking in charity shops. I spend ages browsing in them. :-))
Try to stick to areas where the quality is higher or areas with a high percentage Asian population where I can pick up saris often silk ones for next to nothing. Best finds a real pearl necklace, an Oscar de la Renta top and a raw silk wedding dress from which; with a bit of dylon, I made an evening skirt and jacket

Rowanwitch. That also probably applies to Car Boot Sales which I also love.
