if i bought a sony psp in japan would it work with games n films bought in the uk?

i dont think so something to do with the regions like on a DVD player, i not clued up on these things but im sure someone will be

Yes they do work, I have had a Japanese PSP for over a year and they both work fine with UK films and games. The Games are all region free and the films in Japan are region 2 the same as the UK.
