I agree Patsy, green is a calming colour but if for instance I wore it next to my face it would drain the colour out of me. Whereas if I wore purple, fuchsia or blue it wouldn't. If I wore a green skirt away from my face it would be fine.
Years ago I went to a Colour me Beautiful class and got a book and a material colour chart. Used it a lot and many friends borrow it as well. It would be useful if we knew Abbey's colouring.
Abbey I have found the book on eBay for £2.40 and I think it would really help you if you bought it. If you do make sure it is this one.

Haz the trouble with that is lots of people are blonde but not natural blondes. Some blondes look awful because it doesn't match their natural face colouring. I remember in the class we had to cover our hair then different colours were held up to our faces. The first girl was totally in the wrong colour and looked 100 times better with the right colour. We judged each other and it was so obvious there were no disagreements. We were swapping our scarves etc to get one more suited to our colouring. So I think skin tone is the thing really.
