Far more relevant to this post is that whether your hair looks best curly or straight has nothing to do with what top you wear. Why do you think they would be connected? the only way to get an opinion on hair is to know your face and that is a very bad idea.

Can I make a suggestion. If you must wear the original top, to make it less tarty looking, have you anything that you can wear under it in a contrasting colour, or attach a piece of material to fill in the gap - I'm thinking black would go with the colour.
