Listener 4848 - Return By Dysart

I'd be interested to know what others made of this Playfair?  I know it's not always the most popular device, but I really liked the way it was used here.  And I loved how it worked with the theme. 

I'm sad that this is his last Listener following his death earlier this year.   He was the most amazing setter and, more still than that, he had seemingly infinite time and patience to help other newer setters with the dark arts of setting advanced crosswords (me very much included - my puzzles would never have seen the light of day but for the kindness of Dysart and others). So thank you so much, Dysart - you are sorely missed.
