Printer Problem

I have hp deskjet 2810e and just replaced the ink cartidges but a red light is on at the screen which has 3coloured dots and nothing is happening when I go to print. Have tried bu switching off and renewing the cartridges

any help appreciated as cannot find any other help

My HP printer behaves in a similar way when the cartridges are renewed.  My solution is to change cartridge(s).  Switch off printer.  Switch off completely the pc.  Restart pc and then prepare HP to print something.  Switch on HP and press print.  This works for me.

Was wondering if as I am not using the hp ink but from cartridge people that the printer is not recognising the cartridges so what can I do now

If you're not using the official HP cartridges, then that's why you're having a problem. Remove the false cartridges, and replace them with HP cartridges.
