hi all does anyone know where i can get something to put over my kitchen stairs they are brick work and have been painted making them quite slippery is there any sort of cheapish saftey matting about that you know off. cheers

You can get rolls of soft, rubbery material (perforated), for putting under ornaments, printers, keyboards, etc. so that they don't slip. You can use it just as well to put on a slippy area of the floor, either on its own or under a rug or piece of carpet (it'll hold it still).


Don't know about where you are, but Poundland and most discount or DIY stores sell it for a quid a roll, or less. Comes in various colours too. Can't think what it's called >:-(

Visit a ship chandler, they have non-slip pads for fitting to boat decks to stop people slipping.

As above a yacht supply place will have non slip tape, or try a good hardware shop for the rolls of 'anti slip tape' - comes in various colours and widths.


An industrial flooring company near you may also have it but watch out for minimum order requirements.
