Obvious thing would be to check the labels, and also the quality of the jacket itself, if the stitching is terrible chances are it's a fake.

no, someone has asked me to sell one on ebay for them, and they are telling me it's real, but a "second" - they're not trying to con me, they really do believe so. I don't want to list something as real if it's a fake - so i wondered if there was a way of knowing.

Hmmm a tricky one,as there are some good copies around now,best bet is the high street shops,where you will pay a lot ,but are more certain to get the real Mcoy.

But hey, if its a good fake,who's gonna know anyway.

in my experience Armani dont "do" seconds, it would have been rejected by their buyer and certainly would not bear their label. Why isnt said friend doing their own selling ? probably because they know its fake.

Armani seconds usually have the labels removed before being re-sold!

Thing is if it looks good and feels good and looks like it will last a few years then it's probably kosher.

they are certainly not asking me to sell it 'cus it's fake! They just have no experience of ebay and this is their trial run to show them how it works. They bought the jacket in good faith as a second. I didn't think armani did seconds, which is why i asked the question in the first place! Anyway, i've listed it just as it is, so i'll see how it goes. i haven't told any lies - it's just a really nice jacket!
