Depends where you live, but most Sunday markets have people selling 'designer' sunglasses out of suitcases for about a Fiver, which do the job of making you look 'cool' and probably provide as much protection as real ones.

H&M have got some great ones really cheap and if you live near a TK Maxx they do designer ones at really low cost prices!

I always end up breaking my sunglasses so refuse to spend a lot on mine, I bought two pairs from Primark the other day �2 a pair.
