I have bought mail order from a high street store furniture to be home delivered. When I bought the items I was aware of the times advised for delivery and I have been eagerly awaiting my furniture as the time ticked on by. Now the store have told me that just one of an order made up of three items has held up delivery and I still have no idea when I can expect my things. I am so very cross, I thought that the store could of made me aware of any problem before now, Do these stores when one is given a 35 day window have to honour this or can they just deliver when they like to ? I do appreciate some items may sell better than others but all my things were in stock when I paid for them. How can I tell the store just how unhappy I am and still get my goods ? !!!

i would wait til you have received your goods then write to the company and state how displeased you were at their service, and tell them that you will think twice about using them again, you never know you might get compensation. good luck x
Not Next by any chance?
argos? wouldn't surpise me we've had problems with them delivering stuff on more than one occasion
Argos are horrific! I would never use them again!

You people that said Argos are right !!!. I was not going to 'name and shame ' them but what the heck !!! I would look elsewhere before buying from Argos Direct in future !
make sure you complain argos are really good for giving compensation ( i shouldn't say that should i!!) you tend to get argos vouchers but hey it's something for the trouble they caused you. good luck xx
If you're talking about Argos, it took them 46 days to deliver a bed that was supposed to be "In stock - Estimated delivery within 7 days." I had also ordered other small items for my new house (all were allegedly in stock when I made the internet order. I made the order before I'd even moved to ensure that I would have a bed when I got into the new place...). I was phoning them on a daily basis, and made formal complaints to the manager. Not that it did anything, I just got a blas apology and informed that there was no way for my items to be delivered any sooner.

I would never use Argos again for home delivery. 5 months down the line and I am still hacked off that because of their ineptness, I was sleeping on a sofa for over a month.

I thought their compensation was pathetic when i complained.

I was out of pocket for a days work (sitting at home waiting for a delivery that never arrived) plus 30 of phonecalls to sort it out, and they gave me a 25 voucher when i told them this and complained

we had problems getting a bed delivered, when i complained i was offered 10 voucher, i wrote back to them and told then where to shove their voucher they sent another reply this time cotaining 50 vouchers!! i'm not normally a whinging cow but i'm glad i told them what i thought. and got the bonus of 50 of stuff (which i bought in store and took home myself!!)
