Revels, Roses, Quality Street, Celebrations

After succumbing to a bag of Revels for the first time in years, and finding too many toffee ones for my liking, it got me thinking! Is what we get in a bag or box of assorted sweets just pot luck, or does each have a specific number of toffees, orange creams, nut crunches etc! And why are there always too many of the sort I don't like?! Any ideas? Thanks!

Quality Street tins seem to have Loads of orange cremes ones that most people hate. Why not make more of the more popular flavours - are they're dearer to produce?

Hi Flirty. I also think they use those tins to get rid of surplus - The selections are not even. Hey, but who cares, it's chocolate right, :-) and it won't be going in the bin.

Thanks for your answers! I see I'll have to be brave and do a little research of my own by buying several bags of Revels, and munching my way through all of them, making a note of how many of each variety of sweet I get in each bag. Hmm, a tough job, but someone has to do it! :-)

Hi flirty - have you thought of complaining to the manufacturers of Revels - their sales depend on happy customers - and it's a good way of getting a few free bags or even vouchers. Works for me with other products!!

The Coffee one in revels EEEUUUGGHHH....here's a good game for anyone with a box of chocolates....reach in and throw away the map and then try and find a sweet you like without the help!! odds on you get the rankest one in the box as they disguise them to look like a strawberry creme or similar.
