Juices and Smoothies
5 Answers
I've just bought a juicer and a smoothie maker. Can anyone give me any recipes? I want tostart eating a lot more fruit and veg, and thought this would be an easy way to do it.
Thanks

Whizz together until smooth. All quantities are variable. Experiment to see whether you prefer the texture thick or thin. If it's too thick, add a little milk and whizz again for a few seconds. If you use frozen berries your smoothie will be pleasantly chilled.

I use a hand whizzer, which only cost me 4.99, and I find it much, MUCH better than a proper expensive smoothie maker. There is far less mess, its quicker to use, uses less electricity and the washing is done in seconds. My mate has a proper one and I thought the smoothies were awful because the majority of the smoothie was just annoying frothy air, which absolutely bloats me, so I had to throw the juice away.
Anyway... the quickest one is banana, strawberries and milk... if you have more time, use watermelon instead of milk... gorgeous!!!!! And the best thing is, its soooooo filling!
I also have a juicing for health book which shows you different juices which can help stuff like headaches, low immune system, bad skin, hair, etc.... you should get one. XXX
Anyway, try using

A medium pineapple peeled cored and chopped, plus about half an inch of fresh root ginger roughly chopped, into the juicer; one or two naval oranges plus one lime, halved and on to the citrus squeezer. Everything should have been in the fridge overnight, and the resulting juice decanted into a frosted glass. A lovely way to start the day.
