I am currently the highest bidder for an item on e-bay. Trouble is, I now feel the colour is not suitable and wish to cancel my bid. There is 20hrs still to go. I have e-mailed seller but obviously she is probably busy at the moment. What are my chances of getting out of this bid. I have bought lots of things in the past and have 100% feedback.

Are there other, previous bids? If so, just cancel your bid, and explain why. If the seller still sells the item, they won't be that bothered. (As a seller, I've never been, anyway)

If not, then it isn't such an easy decision. I usually let the bid stand, and then sell the item on. Up to you though, you could cancel if you wanted.

Thanks! Yes there are two other bids so the seller would still sell the item all be it a couple of pounds less. Still waiting to hear from her. If I don't succeed in cancelling, then I will have to re-sell it.
So long as there are more than 12 hours to go you can retract a bid.

Just select the option for "wrong bid amount" or something like that. I have done this a few times and it has always worked fine
Alot of the time I buy clothes that don't fit and I just resell them and have never failed to make a profit. I bought a pair of diesel jeans for 20 and sold them again for 50, and bought a jacket for 10 and sold that for 45. I always find aslong as your description is good and your listing is better and has more pictures etc than the last one, you're almost guaranteed to make profit. Lou x
