what size am i??!

Why is it, that when I buy a pair of jeans from a shop, i'm usually a size 8-10. but when I put my waist measurement into ebay, it tells me i'm a 12? my waist is about 28/29... grrr! Lou x

Some shops tend to call things a size smaller than they actually are in order to flatter you into buying them.

I'm a size 10 which is a 28 inch waist. The sizes go up one size for every 2 inches so an 8 would be 26, 12 would be 30 etc

Sizes vary between ranges in shops, never mind different shops and chains. I have learned never to depend on buying something going just by the label, as 9 times out of 10, it's just going to be the wrong size!

It also doesn't help that the average general shape and size of women has changed over the years and yet the size system remains unchanged!
