Do you choose value or branded names??
53 Answers
Morning guys.If you were to try and cut down your weekly shopping bill, what items would you say you could get away with the value/basic version and what items would you feel you have to buy the named brand/quality make?
For example,I think you need to buy quality washing up liquid, but you can get away with basic flour, jam and tissues.
What do you think?

I buy economy kitchen rolls, coffee, washing detergents and conditioners, jam for cooking, flour, salt and so on.
Buy just one of each item. If you are not happy with it, you haven't really lost anything.
If you can afford to, buy toilets rolls, coffee, cleaning materials (anything which will not 'go off') in bulk when they are on very special offers.

i think they need to be tried and tested and varies store to store and product to product. for example the only mayo i buy is asda smart price (which is yummy best ever) but tesco version is yuk. i could go on and list other products some from each major store that are good and others rubbish. All a matter of taste i guess
