I'm try to source a melamin spatula, or "turner", for use with Teflon-coated frying-pan. Wooden and plastic ones tend to burn or melt very easily. (I burned my present one when I moved my frying-pan off the gas, but inadvertently left the handle overhanging the naked flame!) The damaged one has a logo on the back of it, and the words Fackelmann melamin. It was purchased 25-30 years ago whilst caravanning in Gstadd, Switzerland, and was really hard-wearing, but alas, not designed to be held above a gas flame :-(( I assumed there would be no problem locating a similar replacement in Glasgow, but this appears not to be the case. Any assistance would be much appreciated

Online here as a high temp nylon utensil, or look out for matfer or melamine from Nisbets here too - you need to open an account to order from these ones as a trade supplier, but worth it for the other equipment aviailable.
Runcible Cookshop (0141 248 4954) may have one as well - not been in to these guys so call before visiting perhaps. (they are in Princes Square)
