table arrangements

any ideas abers i only have a small round bistro type table as there is normally only three of us and i dont have the room for a bigger table it sits 4 people but there will be 5 of us at christmas and there is not room to squeeze another one without banging elbows, was thinking of trying to find a small fold down picnic type table and putting it next to bisto table any other ideas?

Buy a rectangular piece of thick plywood or MDF and place on the top of the existing table. Covered with a tablecloth it will not be noticed. Sit two down each side and one at one . end. YOU NOW HAVE A SPARE PLACE AT THE OTHE END!!!!!

just be careful whoevers on the end doesnt lean on it, or you might find they end up with everyone's dinner on their lap ;-)

buy a good pasting table and put a cloth over it

Buy two trestles (they're very cheap) and place a flat door from the house on it - et voil�!
That's what the french do for big occasions.
