Advocaate is definately NOT the same as eggnog! They are extremely similar but the tastes are very different. Mainly because advocaat uses a grape brandy! Plus you mostly mix advocaat with lemonade, to make a snowball, because its way too thick and concentrated to drink straight!
Advocaat is a dutch liqueur, made from a rich and creamy blend of unpasteurised egg yolks, sugar, aromatic spirits, and grape brandy with a hint of vanilla. It has a distinctive smooth yellow consistency with a strength akin to fortified wine.
