I was wondering what my rights were regarding a faulty item with no receipt? I recently bought a necklace from Internationale which granted was cheap but even so I bought it thinking I might be able to wear it but I can't because it makes my neck go black! Its got some horrible coating on it which rubs off when you wear it and the beads have gone dull.
I took it back with no receipt but I did have the label thing that came with it but the manager woman was really nasty and said it was prob my fault as I had probably sprayed it with hair spray or perfume! She was really unhelpful and didn't offer me anything not even a replacement necklace (not that I wanted another 1!)
Although it was only cheap I feel angry at the way the matter was just dismissed as tough luck, I won't be buying anymore jewellery from there and I advise others not to either- its cheap tack!!
send a letter to their head office, even if you get no result you will feel better for venting your anger and frustration. I am much braver when sending such letters than face to face, and I continually fight the desire to thump the unhelpful assistant.
I know thats what I was wanting to do but I don't have an address to write to unfortunately, their website has no information on it about how to contact them and I don't really want to go back to the shop again!
Are you sure thats the address? Thanks very much Ive been looking all over the net for that! Right whilst Im fired up about it Im gonna write and complain!
Im gonna say that I didn't keep my receipt because I had faith in their products and didn't realise they were such poor quality!
