Deregistering from ebay

Why should it take 6 months to de register yourself from ebay? I am tired of all the spamming and non payers on ebay. I want out, but it says it will take 6 months. Is there an easier way out other than to bid and non pay yourself (for dozens of times per day) and force them to remove you.

just dont use it. on your profile i think you can opt not t get emails from them

if you can't opt out of e-mails then just divert all e-mails from the ebay domain to your junk folder/different e-mail address where it won't bother you.
