Legally you will have 7 days from receipt to return something you don't want in this situation (internet sales). The company should refund the money as soon as possible but should take no more than 30 days from the day they received the item. Your next action would be to send a real letter by Recorded Delivery (not Special unless you want to pay another 4) informing them when the 30 days runs out, and that you demand a refund by this date or they will be reported to Trading Standards for breaching the Consumer Protection (Distance Selling) Regulations 2000. If not sorted, contact Consumer Direct on 08454 04 05 06 to report them as warned.
