what size mens trousers would I have to buy if I'm a size 14

What size would mens trousers be if they were denoted as womens are 8, 10, 12 etc. What would be the downside to me buying mens trousers which seem to be cheaper than womens??

size 8, 24 inches - 9-10 boys
size 10, 26 inches - 11-12 boys
size 12, 28 inches - 13-14 boys/ XS mens
size 14, 30 inches - S mens
size 16, 32 inches - M mens
size 18, 34 inches - L mens
size 20, 36 inches - XL mens
(this is only a rough guide i'd try them on before you buy)

the downside would be the length unless you are quite tall also women's trousers may be fitted.

Women's trousers are cut to flatter the female figure, and men's trousers wouldn't look as good or fit as well. I had to borrow a pair of my boyfriend's jeans in an emergency once. I thought all jeans were the same, but they looked awful!

Mens trousers have flys.

You might think otherwise, but actually men's trousers tend to be less deep in the crotch. You might find this rather uncomfortable.

ERR Womens trousers have flies too. Measure your waist & inside leg length then you`ll get the correct size. I actualy prefer men`s jeans as I think they sit better around the bum.
