Not sure if this is the right section but here goes......I tried to pay for something on Ebay today using my Paypal account (as I've done literally at least 100 times) but it said I reached my spending limit and so wouldn't let me pay. Does anyone know what this means? All my Paypal payments are taken straight from my debit card so I really don't know what the problem is - can anyone help???

Hi Have you had the card verifyed?
Normally they will stop you after you have spent 750 without being veriifyed. Hope that will help.
good luck
Sounds like your account needs to be verified.
Quite simple to do by following the instructions on the paypal website but does take a few days.
It's supposed to be extra security so I suppose it must be a good thing!

Thanks guys - thought I verified this account years ago but obviously not! Now have to wait for several days before I can use my account again!
Had a few probs with Paypal being over-strict myself; this one rings a bell. It could have come from your own bank; they may be being over-cautious so check they haven't set a limit for you.
Happened to me over Christmas - my card was also rejected in the cash machine cos it registered many paypal transactions (albeit small ones) on one day.
You can also check that your debt card is still active and not out of date.
