Long Dress

Hi. I'm going to a ball soon and the ex will be there! I need to find the dress to end all dresses!!! I'm 6ft tall and quite slim and would like a long dress, possibly with a slit up the side. Ideally not black. I've had a look at lots of websites, but can't see anything other than flouncy ball gowns, which isn't right for the occasion - it's not that formal! Has anyone seen anything like this at all?
