Tomtom and mobile

So that I can get traffic updates on my Tom Tom one I have to have a mobile with bluetooth. My mobile a RAZR3 has bluetooth when I try to connect up with TT it only gets as far as 65% then has message can't connect. I have tried keeping phone on find me but no use. Is it because I am on pay as you go Tesco? Would it work if I went to Orange or O2? I have paid for and got the download for traffic but as yet can't use it.

Its OK have contacted Tesco and tesco mobile doesn't support GPRS at the moment, so I am changing to O2.
