i have seen a beautiful diamond ring that i want for an engagement ring. the man in the shop said it was a hard cut diamond which i didnt understand and one diamond is slightly yellowish in colour . any ideas if this is a good or bad ring to buy. im not sure either about something he said about a slight inclusion??

diamonds in a ring should all be the same grade. the more yellow they are the lower grade they are - and cheaper too.
inclusions are flaws/faults. naturally the less inclusions there are , the better the stone.
try to go for a ring with the same grade stones and buy the best you can for an engagement ring - you will regret it later if not

yeah i agree. there are four C's as to diamonds, colour, clarity, cut, carat. the brighter the colour the more expensive so a yellow one is not good, carat is how big and sort fo diamond such as 1/4 carat etc high = bigger price, cut is just the shape a hard cut will have cut, square edges rather than being round and clarity is also to do with the colour when looked at with a magnifyer. this one sounds a bit dodgy. i got mine 1 carat from H samuel and it was 200 it gorgeous and shiny and really bright
