winter sun!

I am hoping to go off for some winter sun in January. Can anyone recommend a good destination where it will still be warm enough to sunbathe and get some much-needed colour? No Asian or Oz or Yank destinations, they're all too far to travel for a measly week.

Red Sea, Canaries, Moroccan coast should be ok. Gambia too but it's no closer than Florida: the fact is, the sun's a long way off at that time of the year and the further you travel the warmer you will get.

Almeria in Southern Spain has good winter sunshine record. Stayed at Roquetas de Mar one December and it was lovely.

Dubai it is a fabulous place

Cuba. And don't moan about the flight times, its worth it when you get there.... Not a yank in sight!!!
