What would you do...
moved into a house early 2007, we still annoyingly receive some of their post, on a daily basis. Got back from holiday, walked into the house saw a delivery note saying "one parcel left in green bin" thats its!
Went out and found a parcel address to the other people. Parcel full of brillaint books. Now.....
Would you be honest, and write them a letter and advise them that the package is here. or
leep the books, if they contact advise them that I receive a delivery not, but it stated not name or items description, just amount and where it was.
What would you do????
Books hav been paid for as invoice shows payment, also shows billing address as their new address and delivery address as my adress

I moved house 18 months ago, shortly after I ordered a Wigan Pier CD off the official website where I had ordered from many times before,I filled in all the delivery details correctly for my new address but they still sent my CD to the old address, when I went round the new tenants claimed they hadn't recieved it....bit odd considering they signed for it.lol. Luckily the website sent me a new CD once I explained at no extra charge to me.I would advise that you contact the sender of the books and ask them to send a courier to pick them up.If you don't you could get in trouble for theft.
just to clear a few things up, and this is really aimed at Gina....
I did not open the package. The parcel was left in my bin, a bin with no lid, therefore 1 week of rain = absolutely soaked and mushy box. Luckily the plastic inside kept the books dry. The box nor the the slip in the door had no name on it so I could not tell who it was for. As the box was basically falling to pieces I found the delivery note.
As some of you have guessed, I already know the answer. Im writing them a letter to advise them that their package is with me. Just wanted to know who would keep and who would give back.

eh? I think you two are a tad bit confused.
Parcel left in a box/bin (no lid). Me on holiday for a week. Rained onto box = box mushy. No name or label on box. NAME ON DESPATCH NOTE ( a despatch note in a little bit of paper with your name and items on...follow me so far???)
Bring parcel in from outside. Let parcel dry. Write letter to previous owners.
Write on asnwer bank.
Get it now??? Or would you like me to draw you a picture?
Seems like everyone but you 2 got it.....DERR!!!!
