Whats the best thing you have ever bought in a pound shop (for those of you who admit to going into them).

I have just been doing some sewing and the little sewing kit I bought is brill. 12 spools of thread, tape measure, packet of needles, darning needle, safety pins, buttons, thingy for threading needles and a pair of scissors which dont work, but hey ho, not bad for a quid.

You are certainly a very astute shopper!
I'm glad you enjoyed your little trip to the Pound Shop warpig - even though the scissors don't work properly. lol.

You can sometimes get some good little bargains in them, 'specially for the little ones drawing & writing bits & bobs.

I don't normally watch Catherine Tate, but if you can ignore the naughty language, I thought this video was quite apt

They do great microfibre towels, which come in a resealable wallet. Great for swimming pools as take up less space than normal towels.
I got a long lighter for lighting candles when they burn right down and you can't get the darn small lighters in. Its great as I must get through hundreds of candles!
