My Hair
18 Answers
I need help. But that's neither here nor there, on with the question. I know how I want my hair, but describing it to a salon is going to be difficult. At the moment, my hair looks like this: http://tinyurl.com/2dj8d
- and - http://tinyurl.com/yqd9m
- now you see that mohecany-type-spikey back bit? I want that all over my head and I want it blondish. What do I ask for in the hair salon? Not a mohican or a mohawk, because that implies a muckle tall fan on your head with shaved sides and I don't want anything like that. So to all the people who work in salons *COUGH*Tat*COUGH* - does it have a trendy ' la mode name? Bonus points to anyone who can tell me the trendy name in German (and minus points to anyone who mentions the word Irokesen(schnitt)).

Is there someone 'famous' with the same/similar hair style you desire that you could refer to? Can you draw a picture of it yourself?!!! I'm lucky - I have the hair style you want every morning when I get out of bed!!!! :-D
OK this thread went better than I thought! I was preparing myself for a barrage of abuse and insults!
Roxy: Yes I could ask for a mullet so that other people can have a good ol' laugh at me. I could also coat myself in tar and feathers and dance to The Birdie Song with a rose up my arse.
Greedyfly: Am I right in thinking mullets are even more fashionable if they're a different colour? I think little mullets (like wot Tat has) are really trendy and look dead nice.
flirty: Blummin' good idea, that. I had a look through a lot of girls' hairstyle ideas magazines, but they rarely devote more than one page to men's cuts. I did, however, have a good ol' look through a lot of gay men's magazines. But again, back to the question; trying to find what I want it a bit needle and haystacky at the moment. I will keep my eyes open for famous people with it, but they will need to be famous in Germany too. What I might do is print off the pictures of myself and see if the hairdresser fancies me. No, I mean I'll see if I can explain it by the pictures of my bonce.
Tat: The term "Wanky Fashion Hair" is absolutely 100% spot on. Unfortunately, only you and I understand it. Plus, in German, it would come out as "Masturbation Fashion Hair".

and then show them the photos of yourself so that they know what your hair looks like now. Or better still, take a computer along with you so that they can have the fun of clicking on the links themselves. Then they might have an idea of what you want.
Afterwards, if they have mucked it up and not done what you want, come back here and ask us how to sue the hair salon.
