Christmas Stamps

I have found some old Christmas stamps from two years ago they are second class. Too late to use them this year, but will they continue to be valid for say next year. In theory I could save a fortune on postage by buying Christmas stamps now for next year, in view of the increases in UK postage costs

Why is it too late to use them? They are valid for use indefinitely, and not just at Christmas.

You may find it too late to BUY them though - my guess is most Post Offices will have run out.

depends. If they say 20p and the postage is 25p, they won't be enough. But if they just say 2 (for 2nd class) without a price they should be okay. I bought a big reel of 2 stamps years ago when they were much cheaper and have been using them ever since. I think you can probably still do this, but not necessarily with Christmas stamps, which usually have the price on.

if the stamp says first class or second class, they are worth saving ,as no matter what the price is in 20 years time they are still first or second class, and will be worth the wait.

???? no they don't - not 1st and 2nd class anyway. Higher values for overseas mail have the value, but for years and years 1st and 2nd class have been just that.

oh, ok, dzug, then in that case they're savable too. I haven't actually seen a regular stamp in years; when I buy one at the local sub-PO all I get are those white stickers
