Bought new sofas from Dfs, only had them 11 days but cushions are sagging already. Complained to Dfs, they sent out an upholsterer to have a look, he basically slated Dfs and said "you get what you paid for". I spent 1425. He then said I could call his mate (who is an upholsterer) who could get the firm foam for seat cushions at a cost of 30-50. Dfs he said would and could not do anything to help!

Are they not still under guarantee?
I would not have a "repair"done on something so new, they should replace or refund.
Rather than ring them I would write (typewritten is best) and I would sendto the Head of Customer Services, explaining that you chose their company because of its reputation and its 10 year guarantee etc etc

Although the upholsterer said you get what you pay for I am sure lots of other people would agree, that 14 hundred pounds is a lot for 11 days sitting on a settee!
Best of luck.
Sorry forgot to say;

Have a look on the trading standards website, had a quick look and found the following;

http://www.tradingstandards.gov.uk/cgi-bin/cal item.cgi?file=ADV0043-1011.txt

often wondered how, they can offer all them so
called bargains, you bought in good faith, stand
your ground your good hard earned money shouldn't be wasted!
So this upholsterer was sent by DFS and he slagged them off? Bet they'd be well pleased to hear that! And he tried to sell you a "solution" to your problem and told you DFS would do nothing to help? Ergo you would have to pay him to sort it out? This guy sounds to me as if he's using your problem to his advantage! Do as has been suggested and see if they offer to sort it out for you.
You tried tying a carpet tile to your a r s e?
DFS are rubbish!!
If it were me I would just get DFS to come and collect it, it is certainly not fit for purpose.

Demand a refund and go wlsewhere
Had hassle with these qute a few years ago when my pregnant wife fell through a new chair and got stuck , stupidly I agreed to a repair and they took it away and brought it back after a few weeks, unfortunately it was not ours but a much better quality suite than the one we had , it was the perfect colour for our lounge so we decided to keep quite about it ... they make there money from the finance deals people take out and all them sales remind me of a that old company ELS before it went bust ......
