Removing Wallpaper Paste from Wallpaper
3 Answers
I decided to have a stab at wallpapering the bedroom myself. In some places excess wallpaper paste has come out through the seams and onto the wallpaper itself, where it has now dried. This is very apparent as a glossy area on an otherwise matt surface- especially when it is sunny. The wallpaper is non-washable - a damp sponge and the colour comes out. Is there anything I can do to remove the dried wallpaper paste?

When the glue has been removed, wipe the area with a cloth dampened with clear water to remove any eraser particles. Here in the U.S., an art-gum eraser looks like this (in case it's different in the U.K.) http://www.shoplet.com/SAN73030_Office_Supplie s_Sanford_Art_Gum_Eraser,_12_PK,_Beige.html ...
