Can anyone tell me if the above site is legit. I've recently purchased some software but can't get in touch with. no one pick's up their phone and they haven't e-mailed. Can anyone please advise.

I hope this is the correct section to ask this question

A quick Google has revealed a few posts which query this company and some people believe that the software they supply may be pirated. Yes you get a copy of the required software and a key but when you try to register with Microsoft you find you have an illegal copy.

It is believed that this company may have risen from the ashes of a similar company called Exisoftware which also supplied dodgy software.

So Beware !!!!
I have the same problem. I paid Egg Software by credit card yesterday and still I have no software. When calling their sales telephone number, no-one replies. My e-mail follow up is still unanswered.
What is the best course of action?

I don't honestly know what we can do about it Weefranface. All I know is some spotty little teenager is driving around in a porche with my money in his bank account.
Well for a start I would contact Trading Standards for your area and give them all the details. If this company are selling pirated goods then they need to know so that action can be taken.

If you have paid by credit card and this proves to be a scam then you should be able to claim your money back from the credit card company.

I must say that in some of the cases I have seen reported I would have been highly suspicious of a company that supplies "original" software via a download !!! but looking at their web site they see very professional.

I have just paid them today nearly �50 for software and did not receive any email. The phone (as mentioned before) is just an answer machine on a mobile.

I have canceled my bank card and have contacted trading standards. They said that i should write to them and give them a deadline (normally 7 days he said) to refund or deliver the goods. If this is unsuccessful (which i fear it will be) then i have to ring him back and he will pursue the case further.

I will keep you posted on how i get on.

I advise anyone in the same position to contact trading standards on 0845 4040506.

The more people reporting this might create a stronger influence on the matter.
