I have done my grocery shopping online for a while and always use TESCO, but I was wondering is ASDA is a cheaper alternative!

Anyone even used both and found one better???

I seem to stick to my budget so much more doing online and with bump number 2 coming, need to budget even more!

Cheers ;0)

hi, i shop online every week, i cannot stand doing a weekly shop!! i've used asda, tesco & sainsburys, the best one is sainsburys, they don't throw the shopping in your hallway like the others, i know some people think its expensive, but it's not if you look around, on every "aisle" they have a special offer part so you can see if anything is on offer, worth having a look anyway!!!

Just did a shop with TESCO and ASDA just to compare prices, I've cancelled ASDA as it was about 20 more and it was hard work finding shopping on there!

I shall have a look at Sains and compare again!

If you do your shopping via www.mysupermarket.co.uk, it will compare the basket price at all the main supermarkets so you can see instantly which is cheapest.

If you collect Tesco clubcard points, you still get them and it will also import all your favourites from Tesco - it might do this for other supermarkets but I only use Tesco so can't say.
what a great website sammy, thanks for that!!!
try this website too if you haven't already discovered it

I find sainsburys too expensive and they also lack variety

I tend to use both asda and tesco
devil99 I must disagree with you about dumping the shopping , I've shopped at 'Tesco's' online over a year now and always they bring the crates into the kitchen & help unpack onto the kitchen tops, even if there's my husband & I there or just me. I've tried Asda, & Sainsbury's, its 'swings & roundabouts with prices. & the service isn't as good by far as 'Tesco' They're always on time. If not they phone & say why not & say how long they will be.
You can ask for a lady van driver if you're on your own or nervous,

i prefer asda as they will substitute better.
If you order a pound of bacon and they haven't got it, they will send, maybe a two pund pack but only charge for one.
tesco ALWAYS get something wrong! If i choose five yogurts, say, for a quid - you know - a special offer, and they haven't got one of the flavours, the dozy shopper NEVER substitutes properly. So i end up with four yogurts at full price.
I can honestly say that each time I've used them, I've had to ring up. Oh yeah, and the sell by dates are always short. It's so annoying!
I do like sainsburys, although they can sometimes put your spuds on top of your bread!
Iceland were great - but they don't do it near me now. Your personal shopper used to ring up if there was a query - now that is a good idea!
I think Asda is cheaper than both Sainsburys and Tesco. I used Asda about four times and on each ocassion the produce was of poor quality and many of the items unavailable, including substitutes.

2 Christmases ago I was forced to use Asda again, as my favourites Tesco and Sainsburys had no delivery slots close to Christmas. Well big mistake, only 25% of the things I ordered from Asda turned up. I had to rush around on Christmas Eve to get all the things missing.

I basically wouldn't use Asda again. I like Sainsbury's but find it's a bit more expensive than Tesco.
