Anyone ideas for a christening gift?
20 Answers
I have put this in Family as wasn't sure where to put it, my Nephew is being christened soon and he will also be my Godson.
Any different ideas for a christening gift - my sister doesn't really do ornaments - so anything other than that.
I was contemplating getting him a Steiff Bear/Giraffe as something to keep, as he got one when he was born from my mother.
So any inspirational ideas welcome.

I think the perfect gift was one my grand-daughter got from a site called Picture-Perfect
It was a Guest Book for all the people at the christening to sign it had the babys name date & church on the front cover and was very reasonable and was delivered in a presentation box in 4 days ( a perfect keep-sake)
Hope you find what your looking for

Its not going to be a big christening but yeh, like the idea of a book for people to sign, and never thought of premium bonds..........how do i get them?
I did consider the Beatrix Potter Books too, but not very original i don't suppose.

The minimum investment in Premium Bonds is 100, so another alternative, if you want to look a really long term growth is 100 worth of units in a really reliable Unit Trust. Whilst the stockmarket is pretty low and volatile at the moment, over 20 years this sum could grow to something quite worthwhile.
I've bought photo albums now for a while for christenings and they always go down well. I don't like ornaments either or silver spoons etc, and my kids have eventually put in charity bags "keepsakes" that they were too young to have memory of e.g christening money boxes, cuddly toys that weren't necessarily their favourites when they have sorted their stuff out at various transition points while growing up. But they still at 16 & 17 get out our old photo albums of holidays or parties and go through them with happy memories and fondness. I buy quality photo albums and write on the card, "something for you to treasure... and something for your mam to show your girlfriends when you're older!"
