I love scented candles, they give a lovely fragance and atmosphere to rooms, but some of them are very expensive I have read about Jo Malone candles and Diptyque candles but they seem really expensive! Are there any reasonally priced effective smelling candles available!
I really like partylite generally sold thro party plan which is good becuase you can smell them before buying but I have bought from ebay as well. The selection of votives is a good start. ps I am not involved with the company I just like the products.
I find Yankee candles very good. There is a huge choice to suit all tastes (or smells!) and they come in various sizes. Pro rata the largest size offers better value for money. They also do car air freshmers and loads of accessories
I've tried various ones including Partylite, but I find Yankee Candles far superior to any others, they aren't cheap, especially if buy from a shop, but have a look at this website, if you buy a 'Megadeal' you get lots and lots for your money, and some freebies too, it's really good value!

Even cheaper are the IKEA ones, I got a massive one for 2.99! Some of them smell a bit dodgy and artificial but there are a couple that have really nice smells!
John Lewis sell fab scented candles...quality smell and long lasting. Jo Malone are incredible though and last for ages...as a luxury they are worth the expense! (Just like her perfumes...heaven!)
Some of the Yankkee candles can be as sickly as hell....choose your scent carefully. I use the Granny Smith Apple one and its crisp, fresh and light...I have 2 Golden Retievers and use them a lot to keep the kitchen fresh...my friends always say that they have never detected the odour of dogs!
I prefer using those which are natural,home-made and vegan.Past few months I used Tea - light wax candles, yes they were reasonable and have an amazing aroma. But now,I turned towards Oceana scented candle which is long lasting and keep you refreshed all day at home.
