Changing wma files to mp3 to go onto a Samsung E250 phone
5 Answers
Hi all!
I am trying to download music onto my daughters new mobile phone (Samsung E250). We bought a micro sim card with adaptor, which it all recognises etc.. so thats all good.
Anyway as far as I can see the music files I am putting onto the micro card are wma files and I am assuming (from looking at the one song that was on the phone when we got it) that it needs to be mp3 to play on the phone?
Now we have downloaded the Samsung music player so she can create her own library but it looks like we need to buy a cable to connect the phone to the pc to do this as it won't connect just by having the micro card in slot at front of pc. So I am looking to go round the long way and click and drag the music files into the music folder on the micro card for now.
The music is already stored on the computer under the music folder and I can't see how I change it. Not really up on all this so will be very greatful for help and advice :o)
I'm off out probably for the rest of the day now so I hope I have given enough info above and can't get back on to reply until probably tomorrow.
Thank you :o)

There's a free audio file converter here:

I haven't tried it, but I have tried their free video converter and that works fine.

Hi everyone, thank you so much for your replies :o)
There was no cable in the box and it doesn't say there should be one included in the manual. It was only a cheap phone so maybe thats why there was no cable? Thank you for the walkthrough thojamie99 I will use that when we manage to get a cable :o)
Excellent rojash, thanx! I didn't know whether there would be something I could do on the computer that would convert it (shows how much I know I guess lol) I will give that a whirl :o)
Maybe it's cos I need the cable mjwman? I will see if converting them to mp3 works :o)
Thanx again everyone!
