decorative christmas trimmings

does anyone know where you buy buy the older type of paper xmas trimmings and the large coloured paper balls that open out, ive not seen these for years they were so colourful, of course when i were younger we made paper chains too ,that was the best part of looking forward xmas.
couldn't find anything like that this xmas just seems to be all tinsel type

Hope you managed to find what you wanted deggers. Most craft shops were selling a wide range of things which'd enable you to make your own paper chains, lanterns, etc. My children also made some, and loved doing it.

Perhaps if you go in now, they'll have a sale on, and you could stock up ready for next time!
Sorry - that didn't come out, but google hobby craft and then paper chains. There are all sorts of things you could've used.
there are quite a few out there, if you Google, enter the words honeycomb paper xmas decorations and you will get some hits, I have got one here to show you, I remember them also from my childhood, my mum still has the decorations I think but no longer decorates the house like she used to.
