Tchibo,Auf Wiedersehn!

For those of you who know the Tchibo shops(and the ones in Sommerfields and Sainsburys too) there is sad news.
Tchibo are closing their Supermarket branches at the end of January,and by the end of 2009 their high street shops in the UK will be gone too.
This (as with many other things) is due to the financial recession.
Shame,my wife and liked Tchibo.

Yep, it's an awful shame Mr. V.

We have so many shops closing down nearby, our historical town is fast becoming a ghost town!

Last year, our wonderful haberdashery departmental store closed down, it was over a 100 years old & sold just about everything from pj's to sewing yarn! Since then, two beautiful florists shops have closed, along with Woolies, Adams & now Tchibo! We really liked that shop too!

I found them rather expensive!

Some of their stuff was on the expensive side funnygirl, but they did sell some very handy little gadgets, 'specially the oven scrapers. lol

I used to love walking in & smelling that coffee too, even though I can't drink it (two deodenal ulcers in the past)!

I agree with xxmoodyxx. I'm surprised that anyone from Answerbank could frequent such a place. I didn't think we had so many chavs on here.
