Couple of weeks ago I brought a TV on the internet paying with my credit card The firm has now gone into receivership. Do I have protection via my credit card and if so do you know how I can proof the credit card company has a liability?

I'm guessing that you didn't get your TV? If it was over 100 then yes, the credit card company should refund you.

This comes under Section 75 of the Consumer Credit Act - see here for more info: http://www.fool.co.uk/credit-cards/information /why-use-a-credit-card.aspx
Your credit card company will be well aware of the law.

Phone them up and ask to speak to someone regarding a Section 75 claim.
