What size in numbers ie 12, 14, 16, etc is a large in a top.

That very much depends on the lady, John.

If it is a pressie for someone then check out other tops belonging to her and find out the size (although these may vary too)

If its for yourself pick what you think will fit, buy it, take it home and try it on:-P

Absolutely depends on the shop/make, but in general a large would be around a 16
