The following assumes that you're referring to US dollars, not (for example) Canadian or Australian ones!

At the current exchange rate (as used by banks) US$108 = 65.51. But you need to be aware that the exchange rate you'll get using a debit or credit card will effectively be less. So 'a bit under 70' is a reasonable estimate.

If you're thinking of importing a wedding dress from the states, remember that their sizes are slightly different to ours:

Further, remember that you'll pay have to pay an extra 15% import VAT, plus a customs examination fee of 8. (Customs duty would also apply if you purchased a dress costing more than 120. If so you'd pay 27% import VAT on cotton-based clothing imported from the USA).

If you type into google " 108 USD in pounds " it will tell you the price in pounds. - Just so you know for the future :)

I did it and the result was:

108 U.S. dollars = 65.6894349 British pounds

Though, as Buenchico said, debit and credit cards will give you a lower rate, so use google as a guide
I'm really impressed by how helpful Buenchico is. I've seen a few of your detailed responses today Chris, some where I'd be tempted to just say (politely) ' look it up on google yourself'.
I know Buenchico is probably right as I've bought stuff from the states before now.. But I've also bought things that came in the post with absolutely nothing to pay on them as has my daughter....
