Hi, I attempted to buy the Samsung N120 netbook in store at Comet today but was told that they had none in stock apart from the display model. When I asked when they would be getting more in he explained that this model was discontinued! Hid go on to explain that I could buy it online at Comet and have it delivered.

I am very confused by this as it is a relatively new model - why would they not re-stock this model in store but offer a buy it on line option? Is there something wrong with this model that would make they discontinue it?!

Let's get one thing straight. Buying online gives you rights that buying over the counter doesn't. You can return it for a full refund providing you notify Comet on the 7th day and post it back as soon as is practicable. You can't do that when you buy in store.
So if they thought there was something dodgy about it, they would not be selling it online. Comet is currently selling it cheaper than Amazon and Play.com.
Probably Samsung is not willing to give Comet a backhander to display it on their shelves.
