How to make a slideshow to play on dvd player
3 Answers
I am trying to make a slideshow of a holiday pictures that I took with a digital camera. I am using microsoft movie maker and have successfully put everything on a storyboard. i.e. the photos, music, transition etc.
I have burned it onto a dvd-r and also on dvd+r. This plays very well on my computer. The problem is that I cannot play it on a DVD player to view on a telly.
I realise that it is some kind of convertor problem, but do not know what to do.
a) Do I need to burn it on a CD OR DVD
b) Is it vital that I use (-R) or (+R) or doesn't it matter.
You step to step guide will be greatly appreciated and hope someone out there will know what to do.
Once again I can view the DVD on mu desktop computer but to play the same in a DVD, I don'd get anything.

Download here http://software.infor...ies-disc-creator-2.0/ also depends on dvd player if -r or +r most dvd players now take any type . Did you finalise the disc? this you need to do to play on dvd. Using memories disc creator explains each step as it is done. Good luck. By the way mine are all done on normal CD if just pictures.
There is an article/workshop in the current edition of Computer Active Magazine, Issue No 305, that guides you through the very answer to your question.
It uses picassa software which you can download for free. There is a 4 page guide with pictures on how to produce a DVD of your photographs. You can buy the magazine at your newsagent for £1.79.
